Seraphina Voss is the miracle of Team USA. At nineteen, she is the "Crystalline Angel," the only woman in history to land a quintuple jump-a feat of physics that should be impossible. To the world, she is a masterpiece of grace and grit. To her coaches, she is a gold-medal machine. But every miracle has a price. Behind the blinding white of the rink, Seraphina is a girl made of secrets, held together by high-dose painkillers and a hunger that never ends. She is a survivor of a shadow the public can't see-a coach who traded her soul for her rotation. When she catches the cold, calculating eye of Eteri Tutberidze, the woman who builds champions out of glass, Seraphina finds herself drawn to a fire she knows will consume her. In the high-stakes world of elite skating, love is a distraction and heartbreak is a physical injury. Between the grueling training sessions and the silent screams of her body, Seraphina must decide: is she willing to burn herself alive just to stay on top of the podium? Or will Eteri be the one to finally watch her melt?
