Ever since his parents death Jayce used MMVORGs (mass multiplayer virtual online roleplaying game)to try and forget. When a top notch MMVORG is announced called Sword Art Online he enters a drawing to be a beta tester. His brother Ryan is extremely jealous and wants to play. So Jayce decided to share his nervegear set and game with his brother. On launch day Ryan is finally allowed to play SAO and he is ecstatic. When Jayce learns that his brother is stuck in the game and could die he loses it. His brother has the only nervegear set and he can't log in anymore. He could lose his only family he has left.
