The black slash was overwhelming for the school as the record of Izuku true test scored were altered for those who have quirks. Also when Katsumi Bakugo and Katsuki Bakugo said those worlds to Izuku. Izuku couldn't take it as he left the dorms as AM along with the rest of the staff were outraged. They spend days looking for him until they found his and take him to the hospital. Izuku's life would change for the better.

After being framed for a crime he didn't commit Izuku Midorya is betrayed by all but one of his friends, his teachers and his own mother. The family is aware of him being an underground hero. Dabi did it as a form of protest against his father since he wanted him to go into the spotlight but refused and went underground heroics. The family doesn't know his undercover look or name but he does return home often when he can. (He does not have the scars permanently. They are due to a quirk that changes his looks.)
