They said it, as if they didn't know that one day, they would die and the world would not bat a lash. Not a single person would care, mourn or cry. The barrel rats were an infestation, a mass of scrabbling bodies all fighting to survive. They knew better then to let their hopes be high, or their hearts be as soft as their hide. I decided to make this book because Crooked Kingdom Kanej hand-holding had me gasping for air and I'm still recovering so here.

"How did you end up on the Caravan Trail?" Inej almost dropped her dagger. "We are quite a ways from Ketterdam," Zhed said. Inej looked down. Slowly, a reminiscent smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "I'll tell you once we get out of here." "If," said Zhed. "Once," Inej corrected. "Trust me-stuff like this happens almost every other day in Ketterdam." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When Zara and Zhed Al-Yorum, two Shu twins, are offered the chance to deliver a lord's shipment of saffron to the Caravan Kingdom for a sizable portion of the profit, they can't resist-saffron is worth more than its weight in gold. They set out on the Caravan Trail, a treacherous road woven through the mountain ranges right on the border between Ravka and Shu Han. Soon after leaving their plantation in Shu Han, they realize that there was something far more valuable in the shipment than just saffron, a substance that attracts trouble from enemies all over the nation, making their caravan the most desirable target on the Trail. Along the way, they make valuable alliances, face treacherous enemies, and traverse hostile terrain. With a deadline looming over their heads and a vicious enemy following their every move, Zara and Zhed must learn to adapt or face the consequences. There'd be no mourners at their funeral.

It's senior year for (most of) the crows. What could go wrong?

Because I don't know high school (yet), I decided to do a Six of Crows fanfic about middle school. And I know. The title is not very clever. Give me a break. I didn't even write the story yet! I'm going to try to do the different points of views the way Bardugo does, but it's not a guarantee.
