XuFeng ❤ JinMi... grape and her phoenix. I'm a sucker for romance. Watched Ashes of Love, read the book, the epilogue, simply cannot get over it... sigh. I wanted more of their lives after they found peace. And so I wrote this one shot... This is my epilogue, set after XuFeng finds JinMi in the forest, where the arrogant birdy snatched the bride. Crafty duo, these two :p Six thousand years worth of spiritual prowess as dowry lol... Love these two. So, I stick to the TV version Jin Mi. Blockhead Jin Mi in the books is adorable, but I kind of dig her transformation in the show. The maturity and wisdom in her eyes towards the end... Ah. It just makes her more beautiful, more alluring. It doesnt take away from Jin Mi who was simple, carefree and cheerful, but adds more depth to it. Yup, I fell for her too, just as I did the steadfast, arrogant Phoenix. So here we go, a little scene, one morning in the mortal realm, the day of Frost's descent. HBD, Jin Mi... Jinmi decides it would be a good idea to test out a new pill. Xufeng abjectly disagrees. Inspired by one of the epilogues of the Ashes of Love novel - a snippet from Xufeng's perspective. The inspiration for their characterisation is based on the TV show as opposed to the novel, however, as I do find the characters in the novel version somewhat cold.
