It's another typical Redd/Nook fanfiction, but maybe you'll enjoy it (if not, at least you'll get some ReddNook bingo shots out of it). The resident rep tries her best to help patch old wounds, because she cares about her boss (and maybe she wants some art, but that's her own story to tell). Tom tries not to get his heart broken (again). Redd tries not to let his emotions get the best of him (but he's a hopeless romantic - fortunately or unfortunately, that's up to you). Isabelle is doing her best (and deserves a strong margarita or two). The islanders are wondering what in God's name happened to their island getaway. We're hoping for a happy ending. Updates every Friday :)

Being in love with a straight boy is a straight-up nightmare. Especially if it's been like that for years. But it's even worse when he's your best friend's brother, who has a girlfriend that's there to remind you how straight he is. That's when it becomes torture. A story told from two perspectives: Erik is a religious boy who begins to question his sexuality and beliefs after he is propositioned by a male classmate. Nicholas is an attractive, though somewhat self-absorbed, young man whose life is uprooted when his mother announces her bitter divorce from his father. When the two boys meet, things become increasingly complicated as they strike up a friendship, which quickly develops into something neither party can be certain of. ********************************************************* !!!!! This book has been independently published by the author and will soon be available for purchase on Amazon, both as a paperback and Kindle eBook !!!!! PERSONAL NOTE: I originally wrote this story as a screenplay back in 2010. The screenplay went nowhere, but then in early 2018, while performing in a musical at a local theater, I had the idea to adapt it into a stage musical, which may or may not see the light of day -- that remains to be seen. A few months after that, I began drawing comics on Instagram and I was so in love the characters from this story, I made them into a web comic. Fast forward toward the end of 2018 and I'm now here, adapting this story again into a novel. These characters are near and dear to my heart and I hope that anyone who takes the time to read this, at the very least, enjoys it.

[Watty Awards 2019 Winner - New Adult!] Damian Ryker is something of a nomad. In his 22 years of life he's moved a grand total of 14 times. But he's here to stay this time, honest. He's already got himself a cushy new job in town and he's exploring the popular local shops, like that coffee shop down the road. It seems nice enough, perhaps a little too hipster for his taste and the barista is awkward, if not the slightest bit weird. But there's something strange about the innocuous café, like-oh I don't know-earthquakes that seem to destroy it every morning before miraculously repairing themselves and leaving him with the only memory of it. And just when that sounded a tad off, things start to get...a little out of this world. ------------ This was my 2017 Nanowrimo story that I couldn't quite fall out of love with. Inspired by the fun and fascinating world of fan fiction AUs, I hope you'll have as much fun with this as I had writing it!
