[On Hiatus] Izuku Midoriya can't remember a time when he didn't want to be a hero, a time where he didn't have the innate urge to help anyone, and everyone around him. Everyone around him had always told him that he couldn't do it, that he was weak, worthless, or not worth the time, but he never gave up, because he had made a promise to himself, a promise to his mother that he would become a hero. Of course he didn't remember this promise, but thats what you get when you supress half the memories you have from your early childhood in order to keep your sanity. But those memories can't stay buried forever, and when they start to resurface, Izuku's mind is almost as much of a warzone as the outside world is.

Izuku's mother and father were killed when an electricity pylon was knocked over and flattened their house, resulting in a homeless, scarred orphan. Currently on hiatus as school and stress are crushing me almost as much as my anxiety. Aight, don't read this. Please. Izuku Midoriya swore he'd become a hero to his mother. But, he was powerless in a super powered society. No hero agency in their right mind would even think a quirkless boy could be a hero- let alone believe in him. No one did. Not his classmates- who mocked and bullied him for simply being ordinary. But, even through the guilt of losing his mother, the constant discrimination, the starvation, the bullying, the never ending abuse, and the deadly self loathing, his passion for helping others just wouldn't die. He'd never let his promise to his mom remain unfulfilled. If the world would tell him he couldn't become a hero, then he'd prove them wrong by becoming his own hero- Deku. A vigilante. Izuku's heroic actions quickly made 'Deku' popular. The fact that he isn't a legal hero didn't stop him from saving countless lives, and capturing numerous villains. Heroes from all over Japan tried to catch the vigilante- not to arrest him, but to recruit him. Although, most heroes only wanted the fame and self promotion that came with catching the popular vigilante. Despite the fact that even top heroes tried to catch him, he always managed to somehow get away. --- All Might had his eyes on Deku, even before he became popular. He easily recognized selfless heroic actions from the boy, that seemed like non-existent qualities in any of the current pro heroes. He didn't just want to recruit him- he wanted Deku to be his successor. But, the teen always just barely managed to escape All Might's grip. Or would the temptation of finally having a friend lead Izuku straight into it? And what if the heroes weren't the only ones who thought he'd be a worthy successor? Izuku Midoriya was a college student, just trying to get his teaching degree. He had been living in the sam duplex house for a year now and hadn't had any problems with the elderly woman who lived below him. She was a quiet and lovely neighbor. Until she died. Sike, I'm not that terrible guys. She just got put into an assisted living thing. Which meant the bottom floor was up for rent and it didn't take long for Izuku's landlord to find a new tenant, or tenants. Katsuki Bakugou and Shoto Todoroki were the two guys that moved in below Izuku. They were also in a band. A very loud band. Izuku was close to going crazy with all the noise he now had to live with and the two wouldn't quiet down, even after he asked, multiple times. Eventually, Izuku listens to them practice so much, one of their songs gets stuck in his head. He takes out the trash, not even realizing that he was singing it softly to himself. Until the two boys hear him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Izuku threw the bag into the dumpster on the side of the house, softly singing the lyrics that were now stuck in his head. "Hey, that's our song." A voice said from behind him. Izuku snapped his attention to the two guys sitting on the stairs of his front door. "It's stuck in my head because neither of you seem to have common courtesy to practice somewhere else." Izuku snapped back, not wanting to deal with either of the arrogant males. Shoto seemed unfazed by his attitude. "You've got a nice voice." He mused. Izuku eyed him suspiciously, not trusting his compliment. "Thanks I guess." He muttered. "Wanna join a band?"

Class 1-A decided to go see a movie one weekend. Once they got there, they picked out a horror movie. Midoriya has been terrified of horror movies his whole life. He thought he could fake it and make it through. He was wrong. Half way through, Kirishima notices how scared the smaller boy is. He decides to take matters into his own hands, or rather take Izuku into his own hands. When it ends up not helping very much, Kirishima just grabs him and they both leave. They end up hanging out the rest of the night. Which leads to more hang outs. Which leads to dates. Which leads to dating. Which leads to secrets. Some secrets that won't only destroy their relationship, but also their lives.
