Bakugo never thought much of her. If anything, he disliked her. How couldn't he when it seemed she dedicated all her days to pestering the boy. All she wanted to do was be around him and he never understood why. She excelled with her quirk, was well liked by her peers and always held a bright smile. Nothing seemed to ever bring her down even with Bakugo constantly berating her. Her optimism exhausted him and only him, the others knew her as a little ray of light. But with light comes shadows and the pests that attract towards it.

Soulmates. Not everyone has one. Others will just have to find the one through time and trust. But of course, I had to have one because this book is a soulmate au. But I wasn't really that eager to meet him. It's not like I despised the thought of being bound to a person for the rest of my life, it's just that I knew I would eventually meet him. Or her. Or whatever. The point is, that soulmate thingy isn't my first priority and it probably never will. My mind was too clouded with my dream of being a hero. And upon meeting the person I'll be stuck with, the whole soulmate thing just went down from the second line to rock bottom. And nobody should really blame me for it. Soulmates, she was never sure what to think of them. Everyone is born with the words that their soulmate will first say to them tattooed on their body, yet that wasn't what bothered her. It was the concept of love that bothered her, the echoes in her home making her not believe in such a feeling. She was afraid of it, her parents unknowingly giving her the wrong example of such feeling. She didn't want her experience of love to be like her parents', hence why she was afraid.
