They're all prisoners to the cold, and Fin can't take it. He wants to feel the blistering heat and once again be engulfed in flames. Only then will the aching pain in his chest stop. He'd do anything, anything at all just to stop this polar flux.

A cry from the rocks below stops a young woman from jumping to her death after losing her husband to the sea. Hurrying to the beach, Coraline finds a child with golden eyes and a hollow pearl. She believes the boy is a gift from the water god, Merrik, and takes the child as her own. She names him Mazin to honor her late husband and the great god of the sea. But something isn't normal about this child. Whenever he cries, thunderstorms appear in once clear skies. When Mazin is scared, thunder cracks and the wind picks up. Coraline loves her son, nonetheless and she is determined to raise Mazin to be like any other boy. A fisherman of the sea and a man worthy of one day captaining one of his Uncle's fishing boats. With each passing year, it's become clear that may never happen. Simply because, Mazin is afraid of water. (Elemental Series: Book 5)

Pain is all Alex has ever known. Taken from his people as a child, he was trained to be a hunter for the humans. Alex's mixed blood makes him an asset for tracking, so he spends his days gathering Kiya to work in the factories with the other Haydeans owned by the company. His only knowledge of the world outside The White City comes from the stories he hears from them. None of which are very pleasant as Haydeans attack hybrids for fun. Their mixed blood is viewed as an insult to the proud humanoid race, and the purebloods make that known. Besides the threats from the others, Alex is punished for any failure by Sir. The human has invested a small fortune in the hybrid and has big plans for the boy when Alex is approved to enter The Black City. But when an opportunity to escape The Tower presents itself, Alex takes it. Despite the dangers, he races off across the desert and begins his long journey home, where he hopes a family might be waiting for him.

Tolcan is a prince in title only. Harlot is more accurate. While his twin brother is throwing extravagant parties, Tolcan is drinking with the lower class and sleeping with a variety of women. But one nomad, named Ki, has caught his interest. A royal with a nomad is rarely done, but a prince falling for a man is unheard of in Sarid. Ki is a threaten the royal bloodline which is the source to the magic that powers the barrier that surrounds the kingdom. If the king were to discover that his son is involved with a man, he could order Ki to be imprisoned or even killed. Tolcan has to keep the relationship hidden even though he may not even be the next king. It is law for there to be only one prince, but with twin boys, the king must choose who will be his heir. Thankfully for Tolcan, it's been clear for years that his father favors his brother, Albern. Rather than fight for the king's attention, Tolcan embraces his position at the extra prince. But Albern's magic is limited while Tolcan's excels. The king is the main source of magic so King Elroy isn't going to hand over his crown until he gets exactly who he wants. Aden Perri has problems. The last day of school his girlfriend calls it quits. And proceeds to move on a little too quickly. His friends disappear, leaving him to spend the summer alone. His mother buys a dog. Aden hates dogs. The scar on his leg confirms it. And his new job titles are garbage collector and toilet scrubber. At least he'll be out in nature, excepted he hates the outdoors. Aden's ready to barricade himself in his room, until school starts back up in the fall. His mother won't allow it, and his father is ready to do some character building. They drag him out and drive him to Beaver Lake. His father loads him with a bucket and a mop and sends him off to clean campground toilets. The local campers just laugh as the poor garbage boy wandered around picking up after them. All but one. One very strange, shirtless, barefoot boy who Aden will never understand. But the boy makes it bearable, so he'll let him stick around. It's not like Titus is really going to give Aden a choice anyways. *** I've been wanting to make the Demon Series into a graphic novel for years, and being on Tapas has made me really start to consider doing it. I had some of it posted before but I'm reworking the style-simplifying it!
