It was a typical contract. Get in, kill the target, get out. Nothing out of the ordinary. The Zoldyck's eldest could handle such an easy task. He could even do it in his sleep. Besides, the target was a simple, fragile child. What more to this could there be? A lot. After all, appearances can be deceiving. Can't they?

Hadley was abandoned on the Zoldyck's front step one morning, no one saw who left her. They sent out reports of a lost child to people that knew them well, no one responded so they took care of the girl. They took care of her until she was grown.
