Alexander Twill didn't know what the word obscurity meant until he found a mysterious parchment in the hole of the old oak tree that grew on the outskirts of his high school. After losing an important family heirloom and finding a washed-up and mysterious letter addressed to no one in particular instead, Xander goes off into a bigger search--to find the author of the letters that mysteriously keep turning up. After delving deeper and deeper into this troubled teenager's mind, Xander realizes that these letters aren't just obscured thoughts and tear-worthy poetry--it could very well be a cry for help; and he could be the only one that hears her. But with only her thoughts and words imprinted on the flowery stationery to guide him, a school filled with insecure and hormonal teenagers, and a very, very annoying best friend, he knows that it won't be easy. But he knew that he would try, and what he realizes in his hunt could just cost him everything that he thinks he knows about himself. He's an obscurity too.

This 31-day writing challenge is about people - how broken we all are. But being broken means we can let the light shine through. Read short stories, quick scenes, and poems about curious children, socially awkward teenagers, closet musicians, long-distance lovers, and a guardian angel. Personally, this is my journey into writing as a teenager, so I hope you'll relate to and enjoy this :)
