Jace has been a part of the NY police department for about a year now and even though his own sister was the victim this time, he can't choose family before his job. He swore an ode when he first got his badge and that is something he won't give up on that easy, not even for Alec. 5 years in prison may seem like an eternity and that is exactly what Alec expects it to be, but what he didn't expect was to meet Magnus Bane. He's 23 years old and arrested for murdering his very own stepfather, but the reason isn't what everyone thinks it is. It's much worse. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, Magnus doesn't quiet know what's real or not, but one thing he knows for sure is that ever since Alec Lightwood arrived at the prison, the voices in his head has begun to disappear. The question is, will Magnus be able to survive the silence?

Shadow hunters hadn't much problem dealing with demons, but what they did had problem dealing with the downworlders. Shadow hunters had never been in good terms with downworlders. But why is that? Whose fault is it? Alec thought until he finally found the answer. When he told it to his family no one believed him, not even his beloved sister Izabelle.So he run away to find more evidence. Five years had past when they need to find Alec, and of course they need help. But whose? no one knows where is Alec and neither how to find him. But what is better than having a worlock help you.

Magnus used to be the prince of the kingdom of Idris but when the Lightwoods overthrew his parents he was forced to hide among his people. Now eighteen, Magnus becomes Alec Lightwoods personal servant in hopes to find the Lightwoods weaknesses.
