Eijun Sawamura, a boy born deaf for reasons unknown to anyone. His father leaving when he heard the news and leaving Emi all alone to raise a special needs child. Unable to afford hearing aids and speaking mainly in sign language. One thing that grounded Eijun was how he played baseball, a pitcher from a young age and by the time he was to go to highschool schools offered him opportunities left and right. It scared him that some of the teams wanted him so he declined all but two immediately, only not declining the other two as his mother told him to give them both a chance and to choose after seeing both.. this story begins as he visits one of the two schools. Sawamura Eijun, a first year pitcher at Seido High School, has developed feelings for Miyuki Kazuya, a second year catcher, and catches the hanahaki disease, a disease caused by unrequited love that makes flowers bloom in people's lungs until they eventually clog their airway and they suffocate. There's two ways someone can be cured, either the person they love gains feelings for them too, or they get a surgery to remove the flowers along with all feelings they had for the other person. In fear of Miyuki finding out he has the disease, Sawamura gets the surgery at the beginning of his second year, after hiding it throughout his first, but what he didn't know, was that Miyuki had caught feelings for him, too.

A rainy evening, some hot cocoa, a loving family and a picture book full of memories. Seido's golden battery reminisce about their most memorable feats along with their children.
