***FRIGHT FEST 2016 GOLD WINNER*** "There are two kinds of people who sit around thinking about how to kill other people: psychopaths and mystery writers." -Richard Castle "Don't make promises you can't keep, Mr. Parker." "Yeah, but those are the best kind." -"The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012) Heaven and Hell aren't above or below Earth. If you want to find them, you should be looking sideways. Teenage angel Alex Snow has a very weird life - his twin brother Gabe is a demon, he has few friends, he doesn't get out much, his tastes in pop culture are quirky at best...and one of his classmates has just been horribly murdered. Soon, more dead bodies start to pop up in town, and Alex and Gabe discover that the killer is someone to whom they are inextricably connected, despite having never met. (First in the Red Rain Series. Cover designed by @Whisperingwater.) Reader Reviews: "Technically sound, brilliant quality, full of intelligence with a dash of dark humour and a touch of science fiction." -Finn Arlett "It's escapist and I enjoyed every minute of reading it." -Gavin Hetherington "This captivated and intrigued me in many different ways...I personally haven't read anything similar to it." @kirrencee "You're a spinner, Ricky. A kick-butt weaver of tales with twists that only a non-novice could compose. Mad kudos..." -Michelle E. Hayes "I just sat on my bed for 2 hours straight in the night reading Red Rain until I finished it!!...It's so addictive." @Phoenix39736 "Amazing book! Can't wait to read the rest." @SarahJayneBrown

Just a collection of notes, poems, rants and short stories to express my feelings. It's more of a diary than a story so don't hate when you realise it's not very good.

I was the 6th-grade "slut." And I kept a diary. So I decided to create The UnSlut Project in the hopes that my own diary entries could provide some perspective to girls who currently feel trapped and ashamed. I am publishing these entries one at a time, without changing a single word except for the names of the people involved. My limited commentary, which is confined to brackets in each entry, is meant to provide the relief of my current perspective, fifteen years later. The UnSlut Project: Working to undo the dangerous slut shaming in our schools, communities, media, and culture by sharing knowledge and experiences.

1991. Journalist Duke Johnson must uncover why his news service is blaming the wrong side for the Yugoslav wars, and what happened to his parents during WWII. The stories told to him by his lover, Jelena, draw him further into the conspiracy until learning that the answers lie in a horrific event that occurred fifty years prior--a holocaust which was buried from history. Please note that this is a PG-13 story. There are some raw, brutal, and sexual scenes, but nothing gratuitous. While not enough to warrant an R-rating, IMO, this is not a story for young readers or those who aren't prepared for an honest depiction of events. .......... I started researching this story sometime ago, when I saw Christianne Amanpour of CNN stand over a pit of graves harkening back to World War II. I took years to try and understand why people were so intent on killing each other. Was it human nature, or was it--as I soon began to learn--something far more insidious and depraved? Even now I can't pretend to know the answer. But what I learnt sent me on an odyssey that continues on, opening up a world of secret cabals and shadow governments, of battles fought in the name greed not patriotism, of a very real Big Brother who willingly pulls the trigger on those of us who are determined to abide by the laws of patriotism, faith, and brotherhood. We are all part of a battle fought since the beginning of time. A Covenant of Poppies is the first book in series of political- conspiracy-psychological thrillers that will take the reader across the globe and into the unknown world lurking just beyond this one, as well as the unfamiliar one within. Some of the books planned will border on Science Fiction and what some might call Alternative History. A Covenant of Poppies might well be more general fiction than thriller or mystery, but it contains elements of each. Please offer me your feedback, and if you like the story, your votes. I am very interested in hearing what you have to say.
