Alfred (America) feels suicidal and decides to go to "the house where people go to die." He quickly realizes it's very creepy, and it seems to be deserted. . . But is it really? Alfred is an open book, right? Most of the countries seem to think so. But the American harbors many secrets, and only a few have seen through his open-book nature, taken off the laminated cover, and stopped to read the book that is Alfred F. Jones. All it takes is one little interruption in a world meeting for America's laminated cover to be torn to shreds.

Alfred has came back from the civil war. The nations are extremely happy to see him, or so they thought. Something horrible has happened to Alfred. This story is about Alfred developing a split personality from the civil war. The personality is extremely abusive and tries to fight for the body, but how long will Alfred go without breaking? This story is pretty much a redo of my other story "The Hero". This story will be much different but it will have the same angst. TRIGGER WARNING

Why was everyone avoiding America, or what it seems like anyway, and what will happen when you ignore 'the center of attention' for too long? Of course something very bad. ***If you are triggered easily, I highly suggest not reading this fanfic for there are some very sensitive moments and extreme self-doubt and stuff like that. So please. If there was some kind of trauma or unresolved issues then their soul was damned to Earth. Unable to move on. There's no way he would be forgived... not after everything. Maybe he would just say chained to Earth instead.

The day of 9/11 is upon us once again, and it is a troubling time for the personification of America. Because all of the nations are going on tours of each other's lands, and America cant change his plans, he is stuck revealing himself on the day that he is his weakest. What will the others think of him now?
