"I don't consider you evil, not even bad!"
"I can't be considered bad, but neither can I be considered good."
"You are definitely a good person, Lord Hades!"
Hades watched her in surprise. In all these years he was known as a feared and frightening god, and did this minor goddess have the courage to say about him that he was good?
"I'm afraid you're talking about things you don't understand. There is no meadow without shadows..."
"But no dark room without a lighted candle at least! the goddess interrupted him, stopping and taking a step in front of him."
Hades stopped, too, raising an eyebrow at the thought that she had really interrupted him. Persephone realized this, but she did not want to give up. She rose to her feet to look taller than she really was.
"A person is not only good or just bad, Persephone!"
"That means there is something good in everyone. Something good in you too, Lord Hades!"
