*DUE TO BEING PUBLISHED SOON, ONLY THE FIRST 3 CHAPTERS OF THE SLUM HEIRS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING ON WATTPAD* Nearly a decade ago, a string of freak tornadoes destroyed Queens, and now it is home to the slums of New York City. Filled with drug dealers, gangs, and escaped convicts, it's not the sort of place a typical seventeen-year-old girl from the Upper East Side normally finds herself. Enter Mikaela Clearwater, typical girl extraordinaire. Between acing every test at school, making regular appearances at Clearwater Consolidated parties, and enduring the arranged relationship her father forced upon her, she has always felt trapped in her life. When her "boyfriend" tries to push their fake relationship too far, Mikaela flees from him and winds up in the Slums. After being rescued from a near-mugging, she finds herself drawn into a gang of thieves led by a boy called Dai with striking green eyes, hair black as the night sky and a smile that aggravates her to no end. Soon, she is living two lives: the fake Manhattan life she's grown up in, and the reckless, completely inappropriate life that comes with being a member of the Bulwarks. It's not until Mikaela learns the history of how the Bulwarks came to live in the Slums that she realizes her ties to them run deeper than a simple rescue. Her father put them there, and Dai and his Bulwarks will stop at nothing to get their revenge. Now Mikaela is faced with an impossible task: keeping the Bulwarks from discovering her true identity, and the ties she has to the man who destroyed their lives.

When you're marked you have two choices; fight or die. Nance lives in the past, literally. Her city is a recreation of early twenty-first century society. To the outside world they're experiments, just rats running around a maze. In an impoverished future world, the city seems to be their only chance of finding where they went wrong, or so they say. Nance doesn't know the real purpose of her home, and she doesn't care. All she sees are the one hundred teenagers, just like her, who are killed every year in the barbaric ritual known as the marking. They tattoo your face and pit you against your peers, against the city. Nance doesn't know why, but it doesn't matter, because she's sixteen and it's her turn to be marked. **So I decided to replace the original story with the rewrite because they are pretty much exactly the same. Plus, it's a lot less complicated then having two separate books for the same story.** There is a * next to all rewritten chapters. THE ORIGINAL VERSION IS COMPLETE. IT'S JUST NOT MARKED AS SUCH BECAUSE I GAVE UP ON THE REWRITE.

After losing the Aethernum Bellum--a watch rumored to have the ability to break time itself--in the middle of a heist, Elliot's lifespan has been cut in half and smashed into a million tiny pieces. The Big Evils want his head on a platter, his boss is pissed and an annoying Warlock keeps hitting on him. With his only option to retrieve it or die, he sets off into the chaotic magical underworld for any clues that will lead him to sanctuary. When he discovers it's in the hands of a preteen with a snotty disposition and a permanent chip on his shoulder, he's more than a little peeved. Said snotty teenager is also displeased. Fifteen year old Minkah Madlen's life is put on hold when the watch appears in his bedroom. A wild thief shows up out of nowhere to antagonize him, his best friend isn't completely human and his older brother is a part of a not-so-secret organization dedicated to ridding the world of supernatural creatures. While Minkah attempts to protect the watch, he is hurtled through time with Elliot, to places only read about in history. From Victorian London to Ancient Greece, Minkah and Elliot will have to travel the ends of the Earth to keep the watch out of the hands of the...unsavory.

This novel is an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Blind since birth, Elle Duncan has only ever known darkness, but lack of sight has never hindered her ability to perceive the beauty of the world. Her kind and gentle soul is put to the test when her father sustains an injury that threatens their livelihood, and in desperation, he turns to the most unlikely of saviors-the Rossetti Beast. Don Rossetti is bound for an unchanging fate. He is bad-tempered, with an equally dark and scarred countenance to match. With a heart forged of ice and a soul confined to darkness, he has surrendered to a forlorn existence. But when a peasant man arrives from the village begging for a favor, he is compelled to aid the farmer in exchange for a price-a price that Elle will be forced to pay. After a hundred years, Sleeping Beauty is waking up. At Effie’s junior Prom, everyone is gossiping about a new boy who looks like he stepped out of a Grimm’s fairy tale. Unlike her classmates, Effie can overlook the boy’s old-fashioned formality and even his shockingly white hair, but she cannot ignore his familiarity. Because she has seen him many times before—once upon a dream. In the middle of a dance, Effie faints, only to be awakened in a haunted forest by the boy from her dreams. But her happy ending is only the beginning of a nightmare. The further she’s dragged into the mysterious world of storybook castles and breathtaking magic, Effie finds herself at the root of an ancient feud and a cursed fate. And if she cannot break the spell before her eighteenth birthday, she’s doomed to prick her finger on a spindle and fall into an enchanted sleep forever.
