A little and cute story of the first anniversary of Charles and Erik, and a huge surprise too. [X-Men doesn't belong to me.]

Holidays have always been hectic at the mansion, but even without all the students running about this year, Christmas Eve still manages to become a disaster for Charles, Erik, and Hank. *I do not own the X-Men or any of the characters in this story. This is purely fanfiction and is not affiliated with the X-Men franchise.*

This is a Cherik Oneshot. One morning Charles decides to take an early morning dip in the lake near the mansion, when Erik comes to find him. This is my first time writing and publishing a cherik oneshot, so hope you guys enjoy and like my story.

"You're too good for this world" I remembered that hot, blaring summer day as we sat down under a shady tree by the forest. "I'm not as good as you thought me of, Erik"

Erik stared at Charles who held his hands inside his own, smaller ones. Who smiled as though their tortured, intertwined pasts had just been a bad dream. (Shameless Cherik fluff I wrote for myself because I deserve it, fuck you.)
