On top of all that, she is left to deal with the effects of a diary containing the memory of her father's sixteen year old self... helping him release the ancient pet of their ancestor Salazar Slytherin while he exercises control over a young girl named Ginny Weasley. Melody Riddle Book 4 Melody Riddle's life has the foresight of becoming far more hectic than she'd ever expected. After Professor Trelawney's prediction from the previous year that she would begin having visions comes true, things are more confusing than ever. And, as of the events of the Quidditch World Cup, Melody is tasked with working alongside Barty Crouch Jr. (disguised as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Mad-Eye Moody) throughout the school year in the process of brewing her father's resurrection potion. Oh, that's right, and also while sending Harry Potter through the trials and tribulations of the Triwizard Tournament. As all these events cross over each other, she edges ever nearer to the possibility of getting caught in the act. She wonders if she can make it through another school year without her subsequent actions drawing suspicion, and whether the Dark Magic that Crouch is teaching her will start to consume her. And did she mention taking her O.W.L.s a year early? Not to forget her boyfriend, Marcus Flint, acting suspicious while demanding to be let in on the actions she's taking at her father's behest. For her fifth year at Hogwarts, she must: stay calm under the scrutiny of the Ministry, follow more of her father's demands in secret, keep her friendships intact, and receive further training in Dark Magic from her father's newest ally (character used with permission from @LokisPuppet). Juggling missions from two opposing sides; starting her career as a professor; watching the intertwined fates of Severus Snape and Draco Malfoy; and continuing her studies to get stronger... make for an ever evolving year in her choices for the future. And if that wasn't enough for her to deal with, there is also the mysterious element of the memories being visited throughout the year alongside Dumbledore and the Chosen One, Harry Potter. Memories of which prove that something beyond even Dumbledore's understanding have been set into motion when Melody sees them. Should she believe in fate?
