Melanie Hotchner is Sean Hotchner's daughter. She's sent to stay with her uncle, Aaron, after she drops out of collage. Once she arrives, he starts bringing her in on cases and she proves to be very intelligent. After a while of helping her uncle and his team at the FBI, she notices Spencer Reid acting differently around her. She soon realizes he is in love with her and she starts to develop the same feelings for him. Will the two start dating or will the fact that Melanie's uncle is Reid's boss get in the way? Six years ago, the BAU team watched their youngest member fall apart, and now as he grows secretive and distant again, they start to think the worse. Their suspicions get worse when they are called to Las Vegas to assist on a serial killer case and he closes himself off but when Dr. Spencer Reid disappears from his hotel room, the team have to work quickly to find him before they have another body on their hands.
