Lindsey Audeberrie was a friend (with benefits) of Chris' way back when. However, their "relationship" was very toxic, and it ended on terrible terms. When Chris tries to search for Lindsey again years later to apologize and possibly become friends (just friends, no benefits) with her again, he finds out that she's moved to New Mexico and has started a new life. Chris decides to forget about Lindsey, and moves on with his own life as well. Years later, Chris receives a mysterious email from Lindsey's attorney. And Lindsey is claiming that her thirteen year old daughter, Kaitlin, is also Chris' daughter. And if he is proven to be the father, he must meet Kaitlin and get to know her so that the judge will agree to give parental rights to Chris rather than sending Kaitlin to foster care. Why is this happening? Because Lindsey has leukaemia, and only months to live. Lindsey has no other family to take her thirteen year old daughter in, so Chris is her last hope for Kaitlin to not end up in foster care. Chris of course is surprised, angry, and reluctant. Having expected this, Lindsey and Rachel threaten to go public with the story of Chris' daughter if he doesn't do as they ask. So, seeing no other choice, Chris flies out to New Mexico to meet the daughter he never knew he had. There are of course quite a few problems though. The main one being Kaitlin has literally never heard anything about her father. She literally has heard nothing about him. Ever. So Chris must learn to communicate with Kaitlin in ways he never thought he'd have to, and it changes everything around him.

On complete accident, Chris Cerulli became a father at the tender age of 20 with his girlfriend at the time, Carlie. He named his daughter Riley, and Riley became the most important thing in Chris' life. Three and a half years later, Chris decides that he and Riley would be better off without Carlie and he pushes Carlie out of their lives. Chris and Riley are actually doing very well on their own. Chris is a good father, and Riley is a happy little girl for the most part. She's still internally hurt from a lot of the pain that Carlie caused, but she trusts Chris to protect her. And Chris DOES protect her. He's very good at protecting her... Until her fourth birthday. Chris walked out of the room for one minute; and when he came back, Riley was gone. After almost eleven years missing, Riley finds a way to return to Pennsylvania after having been tortured day in and day out by the person that kidnapped her. She returns to Chris, bloody and bruised; and all she wants from him is help. Now, Riley and Chris have to adjust to the fact that Riley is back and has endured a lot of pain during her time in captivity. Riley now has to get to know her dad all over again, his girlfriend and his band. She also has to get to know herself and conquer many internal struggles along the way. Will Riley Cerulli be able to rise above all of the challenges she's about to face? Or will she collapse under the weight of the past?

All through high school, Chris Cerulli was seen as a misfit; an outcast. However, he still had his friends, his band, and his girlfriend. He was ordinary. He lived a fairly normal life that a fairly normal teenager would typically live. The only thing he ever really worried about was if his parents could stop arguing long enough to put food on the table and what he would do after high school if music couldn't work out. And then, the McClains moved in next door. They had a daughter about Chris' age, McKayla. By some, incredible miracle, McKayla ended up liking the majority of the things that Chris was interested in as well; including music and fashion sense. She absolutely adored Motley Crue, she loved to read comic books and she could even skateboard. McKayla very easily and very quickly becomes friends with Chris and his friends. However, demons of McKayla's past soon return to haunt her, and they end up affecting her friends and the ones that she loves. All of this while she finds herself catching feelings for Chris; and he, her. McKayla begins to wonder if running away from her problems is the best solution, even if it means leaving the one she loves behind. Because running away from him, just might be the only thing that keeps him safe.

The final book in the Fatal Trilogy. We're done going backward; it's all forward from here. McKayla gets to go home, and it may be for good this time. She finally gets to marry the man of her dreams, and she gets to start her life over. But will everything go as she planned it? What happens when some of the demons of her past come back to haunt her? What happens when she has to go forward with living a normal, human life outside of hospitals and medications? And then, of course, there's always the fear of the cancer coming back. It's come back before; who's to say it won't again? Will all of this break McKayla down, or will it build her back up to who she was before - or better yet, someone greater? Newly married, McKayla and Chris are still trying to figure out their lives together. McKayla wants many things in life that she feels cancer has taken away from her. Will Chris be able to help her overcome her past and current demons? Or will everything fall apart under the pressure of trying to live another day? Will McKayla get everything she hoped for? Or will Chris want different things? You'll have to read to find out ;)

The second installment of the "Fatal" trilogy. We jump forward five years to the year 2010. McKayla and Chris continue their story at the place where they first reunite after high school; New York City. McKayla, now an actress on Broadway, finds an old yearbook and many memories from high school return to her; including some memories of Chris. This leads to her beginning to wonder where he is and what he's doing. As it turns out, Motionless in White just happens to be in New York to film the "Abigail" video at this exact time. So, McKayla sees an opportunity to go reunite with her former best friend and love. Everything is going smoothly. Everything seems to be working out. The path that McKayla is on is a wonderful one; and her life is finally starting to piece itself together with an amazing man on her side... And then, tragedy strikes. Will Chris and McKayla be able to survive this terrible time? Things are beginning to take a turn for the worst, and everyone seems to be losing faith. Will the used-to-be-happy couple survive this terrifying journey that they are about to embark on? Find out in the second installment of "Fatal".
