The world the eleventh hour is set in is a desolate one in which thousands of years ago a portal was opened up that bought with it many dire consequences such as magic, demons and the destruction of the northern empire that opened the portal. Today humanity has sheltered itself in the south of the continent but as odd occurrences begin to become more common place some worry that humanity may be under great threat once again.
