A southern farmer known as Yudo Ramundo discovers the Unnu crop could survive through the famine and introduces sunflower bread. Today sunflower fields form walls of food around hundreds of southern villages. When reports come, monsters and unusual wild beasts of old, once defeated by man and pushed back into the darker shadows of the shadowlands, forgotten and become a myth, were woke. Whatever they were after, was nowhere related to humans' need for survival. They are back with a purpose more significant than the search for food in the midst of chronic famine. Unfortunately, a divide is inevitable amongst the village elders when Tsote, a thirteen-year-old boy and his best friend Opit Ramundo spring out of sleep claiming to have had two relatively similar dreams depicting the fall of Chiefdoms of men in the Down-south regions of the Shadowlands... Very few will believe and trust the authenticity of two typically playful and stubborn village boy's dreams! Hence, Menshi Yudo Ramundo, an honourable and beloved sunflower bread baker remains the last thin line between the hungry, angry and yet hopeless village elders, their people and the boys... for trust and unification against dangerous ancient mythology come alive...!
