Dan is definitely beyond nervous to start at the prestigious boarding school, Harrison Academy. He wants to get away from the past and start a new life, where he meets his dorm mate, Phil Lester. Phil is always happy, it seems, and wants the best for everyone, but as he continues to get to know Dan, he realizes that there's something wrong with this particular boy that maybe even Dan isn't aware of. Phil was just a regular school boy, until he came out of the closet. Nobody wanted to ever talk to him, or ever come near him. But then there was a new boy who came into town. He actually wanted to talk to Phil. Day by day, Phil couldn't help but slowly fall in love with those brown eyes.

Dan Howell is an unemployed musician looking for a job. He walks into a pub one night after a long day of job hunting and spies a piano in the corner with a "pianist needed" sign on it. He turns to the bartender to ask about the position but is stunned speechless by the beautiful person he sees.

This is the apocalypse. Buildings are collasped, houses burned to the ground, and the smell of burning rubber is always thick in the air. For Dan, this is the end of the world, which is obvious. For Phil, surviving comes naturally, as his whole childhood consisted of it. He gathers his own group of survivors and becomes the leader. He thinks he's found all the survivors. But he's wrong.
