Steve's always been the jealous one according to the group, according to literally everyone. Even the kid who supposedly praises him. Everyone tells him that he's jealous of Dustin finding another older friend to have by his side. But no one knows why and that it's not all jealousy. He dropped what he was doing and turned around making cold eye contact with her. "Robin. I'm being serious. Drop it." The girl tensed up and worry gathered on her face for a short second. With a group of teenagers who also don't know how to cope its a bit obvious none of them would be doing it in a healthy way. But when Eddie is their reality check that not everyone is the same, Steve is the one that clicks with Eddie the most out of them. Going on a journey of finding things to help Eddie heal, from going to the movies to even binging out on junk food something slowly starts to click in Steve's brain. That maybe it wasn't the girls he was having a problem with. Maybe it was him, who was the problem. Prsty s tmavě nalakovanými nehty zabubnovaly o štíhlou tvář chlapce, který se před zrcadlem promenádoval v nařasené sukni sahající mu až pod kotníky. Zachichotal se, vystrčil na sebe do odrazu zadek, kterým krátce zatřásl a následně pohoupal do boků. „Ba-rok-ní boky!" odsekával při každém zhoupnutí do strany. „Vypadáš směšně," můj hlas se třásl víc než volány sukně, se kterou šili všichni čerti v podobě mladého muže. „No to jsi kamarádka? Takhle mě necháš jít mezi lidi? Tedy, člověka?" Jeho hraný afekt nikdy neznal hranic. To už byl úděl herců. Pohoršeně zavrtěl hlavou, dal mi políček. Hned na to laškovně zvedl koutek, svůdně zavrčel a vyhrnul si sukni nad kotník, který předsunul ke mně. „Rajcuje tě to?" pokračoval, „Pokud řekneš kouzelná slůvka, možná uvidíš i kolínko," pokoušel mě dál, jeho obočí několikrát poskočilo, nohu mi strčil pár centimetrů od obličeje. „Kouzelná slůvka? Abrakadabra, hérečko!" přistoupil jsem na jeho hru. „No výborně!" zajásal s neskrývaným nadšením a sukni si vykasal až ke stehnům. Odhalil tak svoje hubené nohy mírně postavené do tvaru písmena X. Odskočil ode mě zpátky k zrcadlu, otočil se do něj, zavrtěl hlavou a přivřel oči. „Tak mladá...A taková štětka!" spráskl ruce k sobě a jedna mu pak vystřelila k čelu, kde naznačila přicházející mdloby, načež se skácel jako pytel brambor k zemi. A potom jsme oba vybuchli smíchy.
