No Guidebook. No Map. No Clue. The story of one traveler's misadventures from Cape to Cairo. After returning from six months of backpacking in eastern Africa, I wrote a creative non-fiction account of my journey. It was a trip that changed my life. I made several attempts at publishing it through traditional channels. It received some interest and I even got an agent, but ultimately it was passed on because publishers felt the audience for such a book was quite limited. I'm now in the process of novelizing it into a humorous coming of age story. Appreciate your comments and votes.

Welcome Wattpadders! This book will be short and to the point. I won’t bore you with mundane grammar rules or the crap you learn in English class, but I will offer simple suggestions on how to improve your writing. These are tips that I use every day when I sit down to write. Nothing fancy, just the basics. I can’t promise that your “hotness” will go up, but I can guarantee that you’ll be a step above the people who don’t implement these techniques. Also, I encourage you to link to this book when commenting on other’s work. Sometimes it can be draining typing out the same suggestions over and over. I’m not trying to gain votes or comments with this book, I’m just here to provide budding writers with simple methods to hone their skills. So, with that brief introduction out of the way, let’s figure out how to improve your stories on Wattpad!

The letters had strangely stopped from my long-time American pen pal, until I got another letter to explain the sad reason why. Devastated to learn that Sara had tragically died, I could only mourn her untimely death and her faraway loss. Now, the long-distance letters have slowly began to arrive back through my door, just as they used to before. They are now coming from the brother of Sara...the one who first wrote to me about the truly sad passing of his sister. One word at a time, this man is beginning to intrigue me. One word at a time, he is making me want to read more from him. But Cary Dean lives in New England, and I live by the sea in Dorset. I can't let him intrigue me. I can't want to read more of his words. I'm Rosa Summers - a hopeless romantic who is totally hopeless with all things romantic, and yet, Cary Dean is managing to write his way deep into my heart, and with Christmas just around the corner, I can't let my silly heart run away with itself. Christmas is all about kindness and laughter. It's about sharing goodwill and spreading joy.... it's not about falling for someone I can't ever be with. But the magical spirit of Christmas... well, let's just say it has other ideas! A KISS UNDER THE KISMET TREE Published by K B Mallion Copyright © 2018 K B Mallion

There are hundreds of fantastic books about writing for hopeful authors to choose from, but most of them are boring, complicated, and bogged down by filler. This little book is brief, straight forward, and easy to understand. I hope it will serve as an easy-to-read manual to help serious writers perfect their craft. I should say right off the bat that I am NOT an expert; I forget my own tips all the time! However, I do know what generally works for me, so I thought I could pass it on to my friends at Wattpad. One last note: this book is for writers who have a basic understanding of grammar and story structure. If you’re interested in more fundamental steps you can take to write a great story, check out the companion to this book!

My past still trickles through my life, but those trickles are now gentle and flow ever so quietly. I have lived my past. Endured it. Survived it. For many years, I ran from it. For many more years, I hid from it. Until there came the time, when I was done with all of the running and the hiding. It was then, that I knew I had to face it. Endure it. Survive it. Every past has its own beginning.....now is the time to share mine.
