Walking the dark path, together with her childhood friend, the stoic Water Pillar, Tomioka Giyū, unconsciously, they support each other. Both giving a tiny ray of hope to each other. Giyū, overcome with guilt of his own incompetence, buried his feeling for the Blossom Pillar deep inside his heart. Gripping their own swords inside their heart, they both pursue the same enemy, holding the same feelings, walk the same path, loathing the same foe. Yet, they continue to contradict their own hearts, closing their ears to each other's screams.
