Three ordinary adolescent girls who's lives were changed due to a Chemical X-plosion soon discover that their physical traits have been drastically altered. Their genes enhanced and evolved giving them the abilities of speed, flight, strength and more. Each however developed their own separate unique ability. Though, they weren't the only ones infected by the Chemical X-plosion. The gas from the explosion evaporated into the atmosphere and released back onto the earth due the process of precipitation. This caused many others to be physically "mutated" by the Chemical X. Ordinary thieves and criminals gained abilities, and the way they used them was the definition of villainous. The crime rate within their small city of Townsville heightened to an extent where the TPD (Townsville Police Department) wasn't enough to keep everything at peace. Feeling as though there's a purpose for these girls gaining such extraordinary powers, a scientist named professor Utonium decided to train them to hone their skills to become what the city needs to survive, guardians.
