As a reviewer, I have a target on my back. Not everyone takes well to our comments. It's understandable. Some people can't handle hearing anything bad about their Mary Sue. Criticism is hard to swallow, but some definitely do it better than others. I will be chronicling my interactions with authors as well as how they've improved their stories since we've last reviewed them. The purpose of these updates is to better teach me how to deal with angry authors as well as how I can improve the phrasing of our stories in the future. It'll also show you just what it's like to be on the receiving end of keyboard rage. Hopefully, just hopefully, this won't start a keyboard war. -Trash_Tanuki

I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I would say, I've read enough fanfictions during my seven years of joining wattpad to have a humble amount of knowledge on all the things that seem illogical and bizzare in Naruto fanfictions. This book consists of a bunch of overused ideas, incorrect storytelling, and of course our dearest overpowered mary and gary sues. It also has information and detailed explanation on Naruto's storyline, characters and history of the shinobi world varying from the history of the clans and villages itself to politics, economics and geography. It is a humble guide for anyone who wants to start a fanfic. Things to insist on and things to avoid.

I'm not going to tell you you can't make your oc an uchiha. I won't tell you that an incredibly pretty oc is cliche (it's an anime fanfiction, everyone is good looking.) It really doesn't matter if you want to make your oc an overpowered ninja (naruto is one and people still like him). This is an actual guide on how to make a realistic naruto based original character, no matter what kekkei genkai you give them or how many people are in love with them. I'm focusing mainly on how to make your character seem as believable as possible.
