Giyuu's eyes-once deep, round pools of blue that looked like a calm ocean-were now sharp, vertical slits, glowing with an unnatural light. Aoi's heart pounded in her chest, the realization crashing over her like a wave. The man who had fought so valiantly to protect them, who had refused to give in even when the odds were against him... was now one of them. "No..." she whispered, her voice trembling.
