Nothing interesting ever happens in a small town. At least that's what Max Goodwin used to think before Helen Sharpe arrived. Now it seems his small town has been turned upside down and he's unsure if there is any way to either fix it or adapt. Helen turns up in the small town of Water Mill with the intent of starting over. Her past however, seems to be catching up to her faster than she would have hoped. Now she is forced to confront more difficult truths, while trying to find normalcy.
