Poems inspired by songs.

It's the first year Pierce The Veil is playing at Warped. They meet the band Your Twisted Consequence, and Tony can't get enough of the lead singer Tamara Jones. Tamara won't let anyone close, and Tony has no idea what he's getting into.

College student Cara Sanders has lived a tough life but keeps her head up all the same. One night at a bar, Cara and Vic Fuentes meet on unlikely terms. Vic is immediately interested in this girl, but Cara isn't so sure. She hasn't let a boy near her since the incident with her alcoholic of a father. Now, falling for Vic in ways she couldn't imagine, she is faced with her worst fear: her abusive father has been released from prison, and is looking for her and her mother. Not only had the man scarred her for life, but he has threatened her with much more than just abuse this time. Vic, on the other hand, swears to Cara he will protect her with his life.

When Aiden left Bailey a year and a half ago she was just his shy nerdy best friend. They would spend every day together, tell each other their deepest secrets and vowed they’d never let anything come between them for as long as they lived. However Aiden’s sudden move changed all of that. Once Bailey realizes she no longer has her support system and can’t get by just being Aiden’s quiet little best friend anymore she knows it’s time for a change. And what better way to make a change than be the change. Away with those thick brown unnecessarily large glasses and braces and let’s not forget the baggy wardrobe and in with new stuff. After a complete makeover and change in social status Bailey is no longer that shy quiet girl. No she is the “it girl.” But can popularity and new clothes change who you were on the inside completely? According to Bailey though, she doesn’t even know that girl anymore so maybe it can. Life was pretty much perfect….well almost. How can be anymore when her best friend shows back up expecting to find the girl he’d left a couple of years ago? Now with Aiden in the same house next door that they grew up in and looking as good as ever it does nothing short of throwing her through a loop. How will this affect her new found status as Ms. Popular? And can she keep it up with Aiden back again? Who knows but he’s sure not gonna make it easy on her. Not when he wants back the girl he used to know.

This is a story based on the song "Terrible Things," by Mayday Parade. Derek Sanders is the main character and he is the lead singer of Mayday Parade, and this is just my interpretation of the song from his point of view.

Alex Gaskarth is a nobody. He's just one small speck that walks the world alone and barely makes it by. He's lived off of his parents ever since he graduated, but now that they've moved back to England and left him in Baltimore, he's barely able to pay to put food on the table. He doesn't have a job (and doesn't care to get one) so the only way that he's able to make money is playing guitar in the local park, but what happens one day when he's approached by a stranger who just so happens to also be a part of the richest family in Baltimore? Jack Barakat is a somebody. Being one of the four children of a wealthy industry owner, he pretty much has enough money to buy whatever he wants and more. He enjoys having money, but there's one problem... Eventually the money runs out and the fact that his father has an obsession with alcohol and his mother is addicted to cocaine isn't helping any. He thought he could have all the fun being rich, but he's at the point where he realizes that the money will eventually get to your head and he wants out of that life. That's when he stumbles across a man playing guitar in the park. That's when he realizes that he may get the chance to live "normally" for once. This is a story I am cowriting on mibba.
