Six used to dream of being a rapper. And for a time, in his youth, he was almost there. But that's all in the past now. Or so he thinks. Now he's, well, okay with his life. As long as he doesn't think too much about how quietly unhappy his wife is, or how his son just stopped talking to him a few months ago.
But, on a trip to Japan to save his relationship with his wife and son, he discovers that he's actually famous in the underground music community in Tokyo. And it's for the lo-fi rap record that he made in his 20s, before he gave it all up to raise a family.
As he tries his hardest to make it up to his family on what feels like a once-in-a-lifetime vacation, he secretly becomes more immersed in the underground music community that embraces him and makes him rediscover the self and the dreams he left behind in order to raise his family. And as their vacation nears its inevitable end, Six has to choose whether to give up once again on his dreams to work on his relationship with his family, or to leave them behind for once in order to work on himself.
