Makoto Naegi, the commoner he thought as just another person to get in his way, began to attempt to befriend the tall blonde boy, not knowing that friendship would turn into strong affection toward the two. After moving into the school dorms is when they began to bond, as much as Byakuya claimed to tolerate his presence, he enjoyed his company but kept his cold act toward him due to him not wanting to let his guard down. After weeks of spending time together he opens up to makoto, not fully letting his guard down but he trusted him knowing why he was so cold toward him.
