Love and friendship are prevalent themes in this book, but an unexpected betrayal from an ally puts everything in perspective. Sacrifices have to be made in order to reach the end goal. And just like an Orchid Flower, which is delicate in nature, youth and innocence can easily be corrupted if one strays from the right path.
