Everything is normal, relationships are normal, and yes, Stan's grandad is still alive, and a wave of sadness and pain is normal now. Eric Cartman can't figure out what missing from his life. To his horror, he realizes what's missing and needs to save it before it's gone forever.

Stan is an alcoholic. Kenny is a drug addict. Butters is afraid of his parents. Kyle feels hated by everyone. And Tweek's anxiety drives him to suicide, Craig becoming depressed. But then we have Cartman, who everyone thinks is a complete monster, until Kyle comes along.

As the days fly by, suspicion rises. Eric has been acting very strange ever since school started and Stan and his mix-matched rescue squad are starting to get worried. Kyle is in grave danger. Cartman has a deep obsession with Kyle, which is invisible to the naked eye.
