This is a 'Modern Love Story' fanfiction based on Eternal Love of Dream drama series/Ten Miles Pillow Book Novel, written by Tang Qi Gong Zi. The storyline would be similar to the drama but given with a modern twist. The novel will be set in a modern day setting, with no magic/powers involved. Synopsis: Dong Hua saved Feng Jiu's life when she met him for the first time. She was determined to repay his kindness. She gradually fell in love with Dong Hua, a person who is indifferent to everyone and everything and doesn't understand the meaning of love, in the process of repaying her gratitude. Feng Jiu loves Dong Hua but he doesn't know about her feelings and what she did for him. When Feng Jiu finally decided to move on, Dong Hua starts to notices her. He thought that she was interesting at first but he comes to realize that he has unknowingly fallen deeply in love with her. But was it too late? Flashback to Ancient times, Dong Hua Di Jun summoned the Elderly Fairy guarding the Stone of Destiny to inquire about his fate with Feng Jiu. The Elderly Fairy said that they have no fate. To go against fate, it will be a hard journey with hurdles and obstacles. However, the Elderly Fairy said that Destiny could change anytime. Dong Hua and Feng Jiu lived so many lifetimes without being able to be together. Will they finally be together, this lifetime?

This story is about the birth and development of the best friendship between Donghua Dijun and his little fox. In my re-imagined story, I am attempting to give our beloved leads a genuine chance at love with their own thoughts, behaviors, and desires. Granted, life is full of misunderstandings, obstacles and karma. Donghua learns that being a heartless god has its consequences. Having been careless and inconsiderate with the hearts of those who had fawned over him, he'll find it difficult to fulfill his. At its very core, this is a character-driven story about healing from trauma and the growth of a deep and meaningful friendship. It also attempts to explore the coming of age of love and desire for each of them. Those who can't tolerate slow burns should avoid reading this story ;) They meet much later, (she never becomes his maid) and was not involved in the BQ/Su Su/YH situation. Xiao Bai is young and very innocent as this story unfolds. Donghua is arrogant and obtuse, though with more playfulness and tenderness in the style of The Pillow Book. His edges are much softer. There are quite a few characters from the original series. Zhe Yan, Mo Yuan, Bai Zhen, Bai Qian, Ye Hua, Lian Song, Si Ming and Zhong Lin will make appearances, plus others from Eternal Love and ELOD. Lust + desire will play a part of this story so mature themes/content in later chapters. Reader discretion advised. Story is also LGBTQ+ friendly, as am I. This story and the characters are based on Tangi Gongzi's Three Lives Three Worlds, the Pillow Book, and TMOPB. Genre: Romance Comedy This is going to be a short story. The storyline would be totally different from my other novel, 'Against Fate'. Inspired by a dream that I had about Dong Hua and Feng Jiu. This story would also be a 'Modern Setting Love Story' but with powers and they are still Immortals. It would be mainly sweet/jealousy scenes. Dong Hua and Feng Jiu are married in this novel. It would also focus on their "honeymoon" period before they have Bai Gungun. Synopsis: Mischievous and naive Feng Jiu decided to enroll herself in the 'School Of Magic' while hiding her true identity. At the same time, the cold and indifferent Dong Hua would be teaching history at the 'School Of Magic'. 'School of magic' is where new immortals learn how to control/use their powers and to learn how to survive in the modern world. The school teaches everything from learning how to use the latest technologies to cooking classes. What will happen when Feng Jiu, a 30 200 years old immortal, joins a group of young immortals in school? And what would Dong Hua do when he found out about what she's doing in school? *P.S I won't be updating new chapters as frequently as 'Against Fate' because I'm still thinking of the plotline. My vision of where things pick up after the Eternal Love, Three lives Three Worlds TV series. I will also weave bits and pieces of the Pillow Book. I will also introduce some original characters. My version of the story begins after Dong Hua confessed he would have fallen for Feng Jiu if he had not erased his name from the Rock of Three Incarnations. Lets take this ride with my 2 favorite characters and see where this takes us! I do not own these characters. This is my original fanfiction story and will at some point include mature sexual and violence related content. Donghua Dijun is the great emperor of Taichen, a powerful nation rife with conflicts. Descended from the distant dragons, he is cold and stone-hearted. Surrounding him, the palace walls are even more frigid. War breaks out when the Yinying Clan starts attacking the border between Taichen and Qingqiu. While investigating the border, Dijun meets Bai Fengjiu, the young princess of Qingqiu. Descended from the passionate nine tailed fox, she is mischievous and naive. The two discover that the war is not what is seems, and a dangerous enemy hides in the shadows. Note: This story takes me much longer to write than my others. Children of Qingqiu have been going missing. A suspicious person is claiming to be Wenchang Dijun, Fengjiu's fated lover. Donghua is quickly realizing the consequences of his past carelessness, but now it may be too late to turn the hands of fate again.

An old enemy of Donghua's resurfaces, and she is out for revenge. Her target: Someone the stone god loves. Donghua denies having loved; however, when he loses Fengjiu, he can no longer lie to himself. The sound of bells will always remind him that he is not truly made of stone. Bai Fengjiu uses her blood to seal an evil tiger spirit, causing irreparable damage to her spirit. She finds out that she has until her Heavenly Trial to live. She knows that Donghua Dijun does not love her back, but she couldn't help but be a little selfish to reach for her dream one last time before she perishes. "Donghua will you marry me? We only need to be together until my Heavenly Trial, not forever. After I pass my trial, my father will be convinced I can live without a prince consort. We can separate then.... Then I would keep my father from worrying and we won't need to stay together forever so.... That.... That's not defying fate is it?" Donghua Dijun is shocked to find the woman he has been missing for over 200 years, lying beside him in bed, proposing. At a moment of weakness, he agrees. Unknown to him, the woman he loves is about to face her fated calamity.

Even at this time, does he still play tricks on me? Bai Fengjiu never imagined Donghua Dijun, the man she loved, would betray her this way. She knew he didn't love her, but she still hoped that he may have feelings for her. After all, he had been treating her specially lately. Her daydream is shattered when she realizes nothing she does compares with a few simple words from Jiheng. Heartbroken, she decides to beg the Queen of Biyiniaos, Juno, to help her leave Fanyin Valley. She could not take it anymore. Donghua had realized what destiny was on the day of the competition. He watched his Xiao Bai throw off her classmates from the snow stakes effortlessly. He had thought that if he must pick a queen, Xiao Bai wasn't a bad choice. He startingly realizes the Xiao Bai was his only choice and no one else. It turned out he loved her. He wanted to love her, and so he did. He resolved at that moment, no one but Xiao Bai was destined to be his Queen. He had no idea just how his careless actions had caused a storm in his little fox's heart.
