Yet rumors of dark forces are rising and Carlie grows suspicious of her own family. Now that she believes she has feelings for Draco Malfoy, will she allow herself to act on them or push them aside? Third year brings many truths that Carlie never wished to learn.

After finding out she was living under the roof of a Death Eater, Carlie never returned home. Fourth year is difficult as Carlie tries to stick to the right side by joining Harry's secret classes while trying to hide their secret society from Umbridge and Draco Malfoy. Though when the time comes things don't turn out as planned for Carlie. Then her fifth year begins and things are darker than ever, with the return of Voldemort, everyone's life is at stake.

The War has officially begun. After the realization that Draco was in fact a Death Eater, Carlie is left heartbroken. Using all of her anger, she trains with Jake so that next time a fight breaks lose she will be ready. Although love is the last thing she believes in anymore, she attends a wedding that does not go as planned. With the help of her best friend, they escape and venture off around England…until they’re caught. The final battle approaches and they all face some deathly endings.
