Every seven years , four schools from across the globe must compete in the International Young Wizarding Competition (more commonly known as the Golden Competition). Each school selects five champions to compete, and each must take part in ten difficult challenges to establish the victor - this victor receives the Golden Wand, one of the most powerful wands in existence.
