Eli thinks life would be a lot easier if Matthew would give up his crime fighting shenanigans. Granted, if he'd wanted a normal life, he wouldn't have agreed to date the local vigilante. He still doesn't appreciate every criminal in the city trying to kill his boyfriend. That's just downright rude. But when Matthew doesn't return one night, Eli knows whatever he ran into has to be more than just a regular third rate crook. There's a new criminal in town, and Vigilante might have finally found his match. - - - - - - - - - - Sequel to Wattys 2016 winner Vigilante!

Growing up in chaos isn't simple for all. Not many could cope. They would struggle and kick, but ultimately drown. However, for Dakota, that was his normality. Torturing. Maiming. Killing. That was his life, the life of a hunter. The Arizona line was elusive, written fame in the lore of hunters, and infamy for their prey. They were the best. No one could ever compare to their skills, their abilities, their ruthlessness. But Dakota was something else. His siblings might have learnt to enjoy the hunt, well most of them anyway, but Dakota didn't. There was always something missing for him, something he was waiting on. Silent and everlasting hope. A promise had been made to him, the day his twin brother was stolen, taken by the enemy, plucked right from the very home the Arizonas had grown up in. A promise of something better, something that he might actually want in his life. Now, almost sixteen years later, something was coming. A change was begging to be found. Maybe it would be for the best. Maybe Dakota would finally find that certain something that had been missing his whole life, something to fill the dark and fractured abyss that ached and wailed within. But nothing was ever that simple. Because, of course, the promise that had been made to Dakota would never be anything plausible for him, anything tangible to have and to hold. He had been promised a new life, by the greatest enemy of them all. It wouldn't be easy. Not with his family still clinging to his heels, the teachings of blood and violence burnt into his mind. No, leaving them behind wouldn't ever be easy. Then again, staying with them would only bring his inevitable death. Why not take the chance to die happy? After all, out of the ashes, a phoenix will rise...

"When you walk to the edge of all the light you have and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for you to stand upon or you will be taught to fly." ― Patrick Overton, The leaning tree. Alwynn hadn't anticipated much from meeting an old friend of his parents. He expected a dull night filled with drab conversation and occasional pokes at his choices in life. He was prepared for that, he would just drift off into some serene place in his mind and let it all wash over him. Alwynn hadn't anticipated the 'old friend' to be a living, breathing Adonis capable of reducing the boy to a quivering, incoherent mess just with the flash of that ravishing smile. Vant Bayer, a man far too old for the 17-year-old, was just the man the boy was looking for. Little did Alwynn know, Vant wasn't merely a man...

This is the second book of the MiMiC series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but old characters will likely return. Being in another country was supposed to be an adventure. Even with such a severe handicap from a traumatic experience in his past, Roh-Ahn was ready to take on teaching in America, and maybe see some of its famous tourist sites, too. What he hadn't planned, however, was to meet a young history teacher who not only saves him when he has a bad reaction after overexerting himself, but who keeps appearing at just the right times to make his heart beat a little bit faster then it should.

Be silent. Unless your voice is needed. Keep your sunglasses on. You trip and hurt yourself too much. Stay inside at all times when not with the band. You are not permitted to go anywhere without us. Do not confirm or deny specific questions about yourself. And lastly, you know absolutely none of their language. Five months before his high school graduation ceremony, Teller Zan's grandmother, the only person who's ever bothered to raise him, falls ill. With little money saved up, and the hospital bills coming in steadily, Teller decides to quit school and find some way to support himself and his ailing grandmother. He finds a way. A job, of sorts. Teller knew that he had somewhat of a talent, but he hadn't known how much it could be worth until he stumbled upon an audition. When he passes, he finds out that his skill is worth more than enough money to help his grandmother... but was it worth the sacrifices he'd have to make?
