When Greyson makes a drunken bet with his best friend Chase that he can make Jasmine fall in love with him by the end of the year he doesn't realise what he's getting himself into. To begin with Jasmine has glasses, braces and never wears makeup. But pretty soon Greyson realises that Jasmine is different to who she says she is. Maybe he can get this bet to work, he can transform her into one if them, get his kiss then forget about it. He just has to make sure he doesn't fall for the girl he never thought he would love.

I watched Reese lips move as he read out the contents of the letter, then I watched everyone's faces as they took in the words that were coming off the paper. As I looked around the small group, I realized that these were the people that I had no choice but to depend on for awhile, and one of them was going to get hurt. It didn't matter if we did everything right, someone was bound to get hurt in this game and I couldn't help but to feel like it would be all my fault.
