Within the Boiling Isles, there is a group of Witches that live within the very the skeleton of the Titan. Nobody truly knows who - or even what - they are, and rumors spread that they are people who live isolated from Emperor Belos' rule. Because of this, they were isolated and - under the command of Emperor Belos - they were killed off one by one until only one remained. However, he wouldn't be seen in the Boiling Isles for over a decade until he eventually returns to the place of his origin. Hollow Knight - an Orphan who was adopted by the Noceda Family - was always a strange kid. Not "Luz" strange, but strange all the same. He wasn't into fantasy, though he was very interested in the art of combat, and therefore learned how to do it. He even learned how to fight with a sword - much to the concern of his mother. After being told he and his sister were being sent off to Summer Camp because of a "Book Report" - though Hollow used that term loosely - that went wrong. Fortunately or unfortunately, that never came to be after a strange owl lead them through a portal and into another world.
