just merthur fluff *I don't own the show or the characters!*

Merlin has fallen sick and Arthur can't bear it. It will make them confess some hard truths but that's the way it should be, isn't it?

"There is no way Merlin is screwing the Prince of Camelot." ↴ Little did he know, Gawain had never been more wrong. ♖ ♔ ♖ In which Merlin learns love, lust and loss through the wicked hand of his enemies, and Arthur realises that his most corrupt sin was taking love for granted. ♗ ♔ ♗ When a letter - detailing confidential plans and treacherous passion - falls into Morgana's hands, a wicked plot is created to thwart Prince Arthur's search and render him hopelessly blind to chance of his former glory. Merlin is left forsaken and powerless in the witch's cruel, twisted hold, where she teaches him that nothing should be taken for granted - and uses all means necessary to crush the lovers spirits - regardless of the consequences. ♘ ♔ ♘

When Arthur comes back, he finds Merlin in need of saving. Don't want to give too much away, as it is a short story! Feedback is much appreciated!

Merlin had never been handed the luxury of anything in life. Maybe his distant family would send gifts when they thought fit, but he had never landed himself in a place of riches nor simple comfortability. That style of living didn't make any change upon the subject of his classification. He had been sent off to Camelot as soon as he was of age. He can't pretend he doesn't have a pretty damn good idea as to what his class is, though. Not that he finds it favourable either; he just wants to be normal, after all. Maybe he'll be able to do that with Arthur's help. Or maybe things get a little more complicated when he's involved.
