Just like that, the entire world froze, every single person on Earth, all except for Matthew Harris, a brilliant, young software engineer student in enemy occupied Colorado. At first, it's all fun and games as he takes advantage of what appears to be an incredible opportunity to act without consequence, but as the weeks wear on, he begins to wonder if this is going to be his new reality. There's something off about all of this, though...He just has to figure out what it is.

Vampiring is HARD. Things Bob has on his checklist when he accidentally becomes a vampire: a) forget everything he knows about vampires b) Google vampire survival tactics c) don't get brutally murdered by vampires. Apparently there are vampire LAWS, and Bob, a young, romantically-challenged black man living in Toronto, never got the guidebook. Even though it's not his fault that he's broken every rule, a secret vampire society is hellbent on giving him a more permanent death. With the help of his best pal, Claude, Bob tries to stay alive and hopefully turn around his screwed-up existence in the process. This is a FREE story with Paid Exclusive Chapters. It's a well-known fact. If you're any kind of vampire, you should be outta here by now, not just sitting there drinking your coffee." "I'm not actually drinking it yet. Some idiot keeps interrupting me by shoving religious symbols in my face." Claude held up an ornate brass cross with a macabre Jesus Christ in the throes of death, designed to repel any nearby vampires. "Oh look," I said dryly, "the idiot's back." ****** Edited by Debra Goelz Cover model: Ariel Pacheco Cover Photo by: Theik Smith Cover designed by: Rodney V. Smith Want more? Five-year-old Kendall Frodell is a genius and has been ever since she was born. The fact that she can and does read high school material, can mentally solve a wide array of equations, and has an incredible memory for trivia could've all easily skipped her from Kindergarten to fifth grade. But Kenny's intelligence (along with her voice) hides behind vague, situation-based index cards and rewritten answers. Things quickly change when she becomes afflicted with peculiar fainting spells-- ones where she walks, writes, and even solves equations while seemingly unconscious. Her erudition is unwillingly revealed, and she's whisked off to an academy for people like her. Very suddenly becoming aware of a whole society of gifted children, school has never been more challenging. An enforced social hierarchy, infamously harsh teachers, blockheaded children-- and the brief disappearances of her classmates only add to everything. In the style of both Ender's Game and the X-Men, The Prodigies is a piece of speculative fiction that will leave you...curious. Highest Ranking: #2 in Science Fiction [©2017-2018.
