From being adopted by the head of the Hufflepuff house to being continually trained to become what Pomona Sprout wants her to be, her life has been nothing short of complicated. Even more so when she comes face to face with the sorting hat. She knows what house is expected, or rather demanded, of her to receive. She has strict orders to follow her adoptive grandmother's footsteps. So that's exactly what she does. She coaxes herself into the Hufflepuff house just like she's supposed to.
