Aaron intertwines his fingers into hers and starts to lean in. But Aphmau pushes him back, "We can't." She says. "Why not? We both want to." "Cathy may have been crazy, but I'm doing what she was doing. She told me something, back in the file room. That we have different lives." She says, "And she was right. I don't want you to love me because of an arrangement. I want you to love me for me. And you can't do that if we really don't know each other." "So what are you saying?" "I want to get to know you, Aaron. Really get to know you. Can we try this again?" Aphmau asks. Aaron nods. "Hi, I'm Aaron Lycan." He sticks his hand out in front of her.
