Au where Deku's father was abusive until he left him and his mother Inko when Deku was 13. Inko became an alcoholic and was a severely homophobic mother to the point where she would beat Deku for hours when she felt like it. Aizawa starts noticing that his freckled student kept on coming to school with more and more bruises everyday. He and Present Mic had already adopted Shinsou since his parents had died in a car crash that year. One week, Midoriya's mother had stopped feeding him and if he tried to eat something he would get locked in his room and beaten. On Friday the fatigue, abuse and malnourishment finally got to him and he passed out during hero training.

No matter how many times he'd tell people he wasn't interested, they'd keep trying. One day, he was quite literally running from those exact people, when he stumbled into Denki Kaminari's dorm room. They end up talking about Izuku's current situation and Kaminari offers a solution. Fake dating. Izuku hesitantly agrees, just wanting to put a stop, or at least an obstacle, to all the relentless flirting and harassment. What happens when it stops feeling fake? Especially when Kaminari seems to be keeping more secrets than he can afford. Excerpt👇👇 "Honestly, with the detemination both of them seem to have, I don't think they'll give up until you finally start dating someone else or them." Kaminari joked. But he wasn't wrong. Izuku dragged his hands through his hair in exasperation. "I know that! But I don't want to date anyone right now, there's just to much going on to add dating on top of it." He whined. "Why don't you just fake-date someone?" Kaminari suggested. He was honestly just worried for the green haired boy's safety at this point. "But who would even agree to that?" He asked back. Kaminari thought for a moment. Then he shrugged and said, "I would."

Flash forward to after graduation and the three are nearly inseparable. Until Izuku gets into the college of his dreams all the way in California. They all spend the last week before he takes off, together. After that, they're friendship consists of daily video chats and texts, with an occasional visit now and then. Will the distance pull them apart? They become strangely close and Izuku even gets free roam of their head quarters. When the pros finally find Izuku and rescue him, he can't help but feel a little disappointed. He actually liked it there. He liked Shinso. The purple haired villain is arrested, but not for long. The league breaks him out.
