All my life I thought Harry Potter was a children's book series and Harry was a brave guy with a scar and Dumbledore was a complicated person and Hermione was a know-it-all and Draco didn't have a choice and Ron was our king and Voldemort was a bald, noseless guy hungry for power. I didn't know that somewhere in the universe, alongside normal muggle life, it was actually happening. So naturally when Rubeus Hagrid hands me my letter of Third year, my reply was, "Are you kidding me?" But he was not. Athena Malkin wanted to say that she didn't hate many people, but she had a long run hate for Harry Potter. She hated his fan club, his ego, causing her to mostly avoid the boy.
