** #2 in WATTYAWARDS** ** #24 in FUNNY!** **#3 in SHORT STORY** I whipped around to smell the scent of pine, cigarettes, and mint. Amused grey eyes shined, and dark, shaggy, brown hair filled my vision. His hands were in his low, dark jeans, and his muscled chest puffed out of his white t-shirt, and black leather jacket. His smirk made me tense up. "You." I glared. "Me." He smiled. The one person who could piss me off in a split second, the person who was the sole reason I am who I am today was leaning against one of the navy blue lockers. The atomic bomb just exploded in my life. And his name is Roman Quinn. DISCLAIMER: I wrote this when I was a good 12 years old. There are plot holes, spelling and grammar errors. However, this is the first thing I've ever written and somehow I am STILL proud of it and the grateful for anyone who laughed. (Even if it was just once). Viewer Discretion is Advised.

Rosa never thought she'd make it to sixteen... When being unique puts you in danger and speaking your mind can be punishable by death, you might find yourself fighting to survive. Sixteen-year-old Rosa lives in one of the eight enclosed cities of The Woodlands. Where the lone survivors of a devastating race war have settled in the Russian wilderness because it's the only scrap of land left habitable on the planet. In these circular cities, everyone must abide by the law or face harsh punishment. Rosa's inability to conform and obey the rules brands her a leper and no one wants to be within two feet of her, until she meets Joseph. He's blonde, fair-skinned, green-eyed, and the laid-back complete opposite of Rosa. She's never met anyone quite like him, and she knows that spells danger. But differences weren't always a bad thing. People used to think being unique was one of the most treasured of traits to have. Now, the Superiors, who ruthlessly control the concrete cities with an iron fist, are obsessed with creating a 'raceless' race. They are convinced this is the only way to avoid another war. Any anomalies must be destroyed. The Superiors are unstoppable and can do anything they want. After all, they are considered superheroes by the general public. But not everyone sees them this way. When they continue to abuse their power by collecting young girls for use in their secret, high-tech breeding program, they have no idea that one of those girls has somehow managed to make friends even she didn't know she had. And one man will stop at nothing to save her.

Meet Amelia Rae. She has just move from London to California with her family. Join Amelia as she and her twin brother rain terror down at their new school. There will be drama, laughs and a whole lot a swearing, maybe even love? Read and see.... -EXCERPT- "You!" he points at Mitzee, "..look what you've done to this poor girl. She's just moved across the country and you're making it difficult for her to settle in! In my office now Miss Milton, we have things to discuss!" he points towards the door leading out of the cafeteria, to his office. "But-" Mitzeee tries to say before Principal Mills interrupts. "Now Miss Milton, don't make me ask you again!" Mills seethes. Mitzeee runs off out the door-not before casting a hard look at a crying Amelia. Mills turns back towards Amelia, with a softer look on his face. "Don't worry about her Miss Rae, I'll take care of her. Just try to calm down." looking at Alex he says, "I know you'll make sure she's alright, let me know if you need anything." Alex nods, and sits back down with Amelia, still huddled to his chest. With that Mills turns around and is out of the cafeteria, probably to go and lay into Mitzeee. "You can stop with the dramatics now he's gone." Alex says blandly. Amelia immediately stops shaking and sits up in her chair with a smile. Looking towards her brother she says, "Come on bro, don't try to act like you didn't like the show. You've always been a fan of the dramatics." Alex breaks into a smile looking over at his sister, "Yeah, you're right," he says, " and a mighty fine show it was A." he adds, before they both break into fits of laughter. "You guys are going to be the life of this school aren't you?" Ryder asks. I can't help but agree.
