Kakashi Hatake is dead. He died at the young age of ten to save his team, Obito and Rin from the boulders in the collapsing cave near Kannabi Bridge. There was no body to bring home, or to bury, no corpse to mourn for. Only a thought, a memory, a quote, a promise: "I will protect them." _________________________________________ I do not know Naruto. Warnings will be included.

He thought that it was over, that he was finally allowed to rest but just like so many things in life it proved to be a short-lived dream. Kakashi Hatake, Konoha's Silver Reaper, Clan heir of the Hatake Clan, youngest Commander in history and hailed as a once in a century prodigy as well as the Savior of Konohagakure had been dead for 13 years. After the boy had given his life at the age of thirteen in order to seal the Kyuubi no Youko and hence protect his village from total destruction, peace had started to come. Minato Namikaze, deeply affected by the sacrifice of his student, had made every effort to achieve peace so that no one else would have to get hurt. And for a while it looked as if his vision had become true. The Sand and the Rain had become their closest ally whereas the Rock, the Cloud and the Mist remained neutral towards the Leaf. It wasn't perfect but it was good. And during all of that Kakashi greatest wish had become true. He had been finally reunited with his students, his family. But what happens when an enemy rises again? One they had thought of being gone a long time ago? Decisions have to be made, morals have to be betrayed and old wounds have to be opened again. And perhaps Kakashi realises that he has a new dream. A new goal that he will give his everything. ATTENTION! This is a sequel to my other story Atonement! If you haven't read Atonement already, I suggest you do so before reading Not over yet.
